Get a close up look at our Terrapin ambassadors! These little turtles come from Poplar Island and will visit classrooms from Mid- October to June. These turtles will visit classrooms, or events and are sure to be the stars of the show! 

In this lesson, students will learn about turtle adaptations as they “design” a diamondback terrapin using a volunteer as a life-sized model.

Become a  biologist studying terrapins on Poplar Island! Give students the chance uncover their own turtle eggs with this hands on lesson. 

Imagine what life would be like as a diamondback terrapin!  Students will learn what it takes to be a terrapin as they become the pieces in a lifesize board game.
