Below you will find a list of lessons the Port of Baltimore is able to offer to your classroom. Our educators will work with you to create a lesson plan and schedule that will fit your students' needs.

Get a close up look at our Terrapin ambassadors! These little turtles come from Poplar Island and will visit classrooms from Mid- October to June. These turtles will visit classrooms, or events and are sure to be the stars of the show!

Discover how Diamondback Terrapins, Islands and the Port of Batimore are all conected! Perfect for any classroom raising a TERP. This lessons dives into habittat restoration happining right here in Maryland!  

Design a Diamondback

About us

The Port of Baltimore Environmental Education Team provides hands-on lessons about the Port's history and significance. They also teach about the Port's environmental initiatives throughout Maryland, focusing on environmental projects related to dredging and restoration.
