Get a close up look at our Terrapin ambassadors! These little turtles come from Poplar Island and will visit classrooms from Mid- October to June. These turtles will visit classrooms, or events and are sure to be the stars of the show! 

Design a Diamondback

Students will use project-based group learning to examine the history of Poplar Island from a thriving small community to a vanishing habitat to the successful ecological restoration project you see today. They will work in groups to create posters.

The Port of Baltimore Environmental Education Team provides hands-on lessons about the Port's history and significance. They also teach about the Port's environmental initiatives throughout Maryland, focusing on environmental projects related to dredging and restoration.
