Lesson Plan:

This lesson is designed for young students. They will sit in a large circle around a parachute that can accommodate about 15 students. The parachute is decorated with animals found in the Chesapeake Bay. Students will guess and act out some of the animals shown on the mat. The lesson takes about 20 minutes to complete and can be led either indoors or outdoors.

What to know: 

  • A large space is needed for this lesson

  • Students need room to sit in a circle

  • larger groups can be divided in half. Half can meet the turtles, and half can see the parachute
